Job Summary
Retail Parts Pro is a professional-level sales role focused on DIY automotive customers. The role requires expert knowledge of store systems, automotive systems, and parts, with capabilities in advanced identification, troubleshooting, and project assistance. Responsibilities include facilitating the selling experience for DIY customers, achieving personal/store sales goals, managing DIY services (battery installation, testing, wiper installs), maintaining store appearance and safety, and performing key holder duties (task assignment, opening/closing). Additional duties include assisting with inventory processes (truck put away, cycle counts, back stock), store cleanliness, and providing DIY services. The candidate should demonstrate strong communication, parts lookup and sourcing abilities, diagnostic equipment proficiency, and advanced product recommendations, along with proficiency in POS systems and inventory management.
Required Qualifications
- Valid driver’s license
- 3-5 years of prior automotive parts experience
- ASE certification preferred, but not required
- Strong sales experience
- English (Spanish a plus)
- Ability to read safety and maintenance documents
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word/Excel (required)
- Ability to work varied days/evenings/weekends
