Job Summary
Retail Parts Pro is a full-time professional-level sales role focused on DIY customers, with expert knowledge of store systems, automotive parts, and advanced diagnostics. Responsibilities include facilitating the selling experience for DIY customers via in-person visits and phone, achieving personal/store sales goals, managing DIY services (battery installation/testing, wiper installs), maintaining store appearance and safety, and performing key holder duties (task assignment, opening/closing). Secondary duties cover store inventory processes (truck put-away, cycle counts, back stock), store cleanliness, and providing DIY services. Required skills include working knowledge of automotive systems, ability to read and interpret safety rules and manuals, proficiency with POS and parts lookup systems, diagnostic equipment for DIY services, advanced parts lookup and sourcing, and strong selling capabilities for DIY customers. English fluency is required with Spanish a plus, and 3-5 years of automotive parts experience is preferred. The role requires the ability to work various shifts including days/evenings/weekends and to hold a valid drivers license; ASE certification is preferred but not required. - English proficiency (Spanish a plus)
- ability to locate and stock parts
- experience with diagnostic/testing equipment for DIY services
- excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- prior experience in fulfilling customer transactions
- knowledge of automotive systems (engine, suspension, brakes, electronic, exhaust)
