Job Summary
Retail Parts Pro specializing in advanced automotive parts knowledge for DIY customers. Role emphasizes expert store systems knowledge, advanced identification and troubleshooting of automotive parts, and sourcing from multiple channels (special order, FDO, second source). Responsibilities include providing GAS2 selling experiences, achieving sales/service goals, performing DIY services (battery installation/testing, wiper installs), maintaining store appearance and inventory, and fulfilling key holder duties (open/close). Skills include strong customer service, parts lookup and inventory systems proficiency, diagnostic equipment usage, safety awareness, and effective communication. ASE P2 certified or ASE-ready equivalent is preferred along with a valid driver’s license; 3-5 years of automotive parts experience is expected. Must be able to work varied days/hours including weekends.
Required Qualifications
- 3-5 years of automotive parts experience
- valid driver’s license
- ASE P2 certified or ASE ready equivalent
- ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
- proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel
- Strong organizational skills
- ability to work a variety of days, evenings, and weekends
- ASE P2 certification preferred, but not required
