Job Summary
Proactively engage every customer to recommend products and services while maintaining store appearance, signage, and merchandising standards. Utilize selling programs to promote best solutions, manage inventory lows and outs, and complete freight sorting processes. Complete advanced Print and Technology training to deliver exceptional service and drive sales in key areas. Adhere to company policies, support loss prevention efforts, and process transactions using POS systems. This part-time role supports a vibrant sales culture aligned with Office Depot's 5C values within a customer-centric environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access
- Able to use technology and POS systems to access information and process transactions
- Able to read, write, and count accurately to complete documentation, use training tools, and process inventory
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to build selling relationships with customers and coworkers
- Enjoys interacting with people and working in a customer-facing environment
- Consent to periodic comprehensive background checks conducted by a third-party
Desired Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- No previous experience required; retail sales experience preferred
- Continued education in Print and Technology areas up to and including designated certifications, if required
- Passionate about sales, delivering exceptional service, and driving operational excellence
- Understanding of the selling program to promote the sale of the best solution as well as additional products and/or services
- Awareness of planned advertisements, promotions, and sales and loyalty programs
- Ability to maintain store and print department appearance to company guidelines
- Ability to adhere to standards related to signage labeling and merchandise presentation
- Ability to follow established sorting and stocking guidelines and complete freight processes
- Ability to ensure freight sorting area is organized and setup in accordance with guidelines
- Ability to scan, investigate, and fill inventory lows and outs daily
- Ability to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices
- Ability to support the company's loss prevention efforts
