Job Summary
Engage every customer proactively to recommend products, services, and solutions that enhance their experience. Maintain store and print department appearance to company guidelines while ensuring signage, labeling, and merchandise presentation meet standards. Scan, investigate, and fill inventory lows and outs daily, and complete freight processes to keep the sorting area organized. Utilize advanced Print and Technology training and sales tools to promote the best solutions, while adhering to all company policies and loss prevention efforts. Support a positive, customer-centric environment aligned with Office Depot's 5C values.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Access
- Able to use technology and POS systems to access information and process transactions
- Able to read, write, and count accurately to complete documentation, use training tools, and process inventory
- Good interpersonal and communication skills to build selling relationships with customers and coworkers
- Enjoys interacting with people and working in a customer-facing environment
- Consent to periodic comprehensive background checks conducted by a third-party
Desired Qualifications
- Retail sales experience
- Advanced level of training in print and technology products/services
- Continued education in print and technology areas up to and including designated certifications, if required
- Understanding of the selling program to promote the sale of the best solution as well as additional products and/or services
- Awareness of planned advertisements, promotions, and sales and loyalty programs
- Ability to maintain store and print department appearance to company guidelines
- Ability to adhere to standards related to signage labeling and merchandise presentation
- Ability to follow established sorting and stocking guidelines and complete freight processes
- Ability to ensure freight sorting area is organized and setup in accordance with guidelines
- Ability to scan, investigate, and fill inventory lows and outs daily
- Ability to ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and practices
- Ability to support the company's loss prevention efforts
