Job Summary
Conduct hands-on packing duties including hand-packing, boxing, bagging, sealing, labeling, and preparing finished confectionery products for shipment and retail sale. Inspect packaged products for accuracy, quality, and appearance while ensuring compliance with GMP, food safety, and regulatory requirements. Coordinate daily packaging line schedules to meet production targets, monitor material inventory, and partner with Production, Process, and Warehouse teams to ensure smooth product flow. Train associates on procedures and enter accurate documentation including batch records and packaging logs. Perform repetitive tasks requiring extended standing and lifting up to 20 lbs regularly.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience in a packaging, production, or manufacturing coordination role (food manufacturing preferred)
- Strong organizational and multitasking skills
- Basic proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) and inventory/ERP systems
- Ability to read and interpret packaging specifications and work orders
- Strong communication skills for coordinating across department
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive hand-packing tasks throughout shifts
- Ability to lift, carry, and move up to 20 lbs regularly
- Willingness to wear required PPE and follow food safety hygiene protocols
Desired Qualifications
- Experience in confectionery, food, or beverage manufacturing
- Familiarity with GMP, HACCP, and food safety compliance standards
- Experience with packaging equipment
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus
