Job Summary
Retail Operations Team Member responsible for the proper and efficient operation of the store during shifts, delivering friendly customer service, promoting specials, handling cash and shift reports, and upholding safety and cleanliness standards. Must interact with customers professionally, greet customers with a smile, assist with purchases, and maintain the store’s safety and appearance while complying with environmental and hazardous-material regulations. Flexible scheduling and the ability to lift up to 50 pounds are required; position may involve various temperature environments and standing or sitting for extended periods. Required Qualifications
- Read, understand, and write the English language at the eighth-grade level
- Perform arithmetic calculations at the eighth-grade level to make change, complete shift reports, and account for products
- Ability to validate identification prior to selling tobacco and/or alcohol (as per regulations)
- Lift up to 50 pounds at times; traverse and access all areas of the store
- Able to work 18 years of age or older
- Ability to work in various temperatures/environments (coolers, outdoors, store)
- Prolonged periods standing/sitting; manual tasks and housekeeping duties
- Prolonged periods of standing; ability to operate computer systems for shift reports
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to interact with customers in a friendly, professional manner
- Must be 18 years of age
- Tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products
