Job Summary
Sales Associates are responsible for the proper and efficient operation of the station during shifts, delivering friendly customer service, promoting specials, and supporting store profitability. Key duties include greeting customers with a sincere smile, suggesting purchases, handling cash and completing shift reports, ensuring tobacco/alcohol age verification as required, maintaining safety and cleanliness, enforcing environmental and hazardous-material regulations, and executing the store’s customer service program. The role requires flexible scheduling, effective communication with management, and physical ability to lift items and work in varied temperatures; starting wage is $15/hour.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Read, understand, and write English at the eighth-grade level
- Perform arithmetic calculations at the eighth-grade level
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Tolerate gasoline fumes and cleaning products
- Must be able to work in various temperatures
- Ability to interact with customers professionally
- Ability to manage safety and store appearance duties
