Job Summary
PetSmart Retail Operations Supervisor responsible for merchandising and inventory management, pet care operations, opening and/or closing the store, overseeing associates, and maintaining a safe and organized environment. Responsibilities include leading and coaching sales associates, training and onboarding, delegating daily tasks, acting as Leader on Duty, addressing associate concerns, executing merchandise strategies, conducting audits and inventory counts, operating POS and handling cash, ensuring store standards and ethics compliance, and delivering a positive experience for pet parents with online order pickups or ship from store. Requires 2+ years of retail supervisory experience, full-time availability with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, proficiency in computer applications, strong communication, ability to work under pressure, and strong organizational skills. The role involves physical duties (standing, lifting up to 50 pounds regularly, potentially more) and exposure to live animals; compensation is hourly with benefits as described by the employer.
