Job Summary
Support sales associates with merchandise handling, product knowledge training, and presentation standards while leading store operations. Manage inventory levels, conduct audits, and analyze sales trends to optimize stock replenishment and markdowns. Oversee daily store activities including opening and closing procedures, pet care maintenance, and handling sick or injured pets. Ensure compliance with policies, address associate grievances, and maintain accurate inventory records through regular cycle counts. Operate POS systems to process cash transactions and ensure accurate reporting.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of retail supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment
- Full-time availability required, flexibility in schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in maintaining a visually appealing store layout
- Associate required to stand, walk, climb a ladder, and use hands to handle, feel, hold, write, etc
- Associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally team lift and/or move more than 100 pounds
