Job Summary
Support sales associates with merchandise handling, product knowledge training, and presentation standards while leading the team on duty. Manage inventory levels, conduct audits, and analyze sales trends to optimize stock replenishment and markdowns. Oversee store opening and closing procedures, operate point-of-sale systems, and ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Maintain pet care standards, including feeding, cleaning, and handling sick or injured pets, while ensuring safe and healthy environments for animals and customers. Address associate complaints, provide performance feedback, and celebrate team engagement. Requires full-time availability with flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of retail supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment
- Full-time availability required, flexibility in schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in maintaining a visually appealing store layout
- Associate required to stand, walk, climb a ladder, and use hands to handle, feel, hold, write, etc. The associate frequently is required to reach with hands and arms: stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear. Specific vision abilities required by this job include depth perception
- Associate must frequently lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally team lift and/or move more than 100 pounds
