Job Summary
Retail Operations Lead at PetSmart responsible for driving operational excellence in stores, including merchandising and inventory management, pet care operations, opening/closing the store, overseeing associates, and maintaining a safe, organized environment. Key duties include training and coaching sales associates, delegating daily tasks, leading during shifts, managing merchandise placement and promotional setups, conducting regular inventory audits and live cycle counts, operating POS systems, ensuring compliance with Policies and Procedures and Code of Ethics, supporting a positive customer and pet-parent experience, and ensuring pets are healthy and safe in the store.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of retail supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment
- Full-time availability; flexibility in schedule; ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail; creating a visually appealing store layout
