Job Summary
Retail Operations Lead at PetSmart responsible for driving store-level operational excellence, including merchandising, inventory management, pet care operations, open/close duties, and supervising associates. Leads training, onboarding, coaching, and performance feedback; manages POS transactions, ensures adherence to Policies and Procedures and Code of Ethics; conducts monthly live cycle counts, analyzes sales trends, and supports online order fulfillment (in-store pickup/shipping). Requires 2+ years of retail supervisory experience, strong communication and organizational skills, ability to work evenings/weekends/holidays, and proficiency with computer applications. Emphasizes a positive customer/pet parent experience and a safe, healthy store environment, with an hourly pay structure and benefits. Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of retail supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment
- Full-time availability required, flexibility in schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in maintaining a visually appealing store layout
- Supervisory responsibility - no direct reports, but guidance to associates as needed
