Job Summary
Retail Operations Lead at PetSmart responsible for driving operational excellence in stores through merchandising and inventory management, pet care operations, and opening/closing procedures. Leads and supports associates, provides training and coaching, and ensures a safe, organized shopping environment. Manages POS transactions, maintains store standards and adherence to Policies and Procedures, and supports both associate and pet parent experiences. Requires 2+ years of retail supervisory experience, full-time availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays, proficiency with computers, strong communication, ability to stay composed under pressure, and the physical ability to perform job duties (standing, lifting, and other physical tasks).
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of retail supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment
- Full-time availability required, flexibility in schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in maintaining a visually appealing store layout
- Supervisory responsibility: no direct reports, but expected to guide and support development of other associates
- Ability to stand, walk, climb a ladder, and lift up to 50 pounds regularly and more than 100 pounds team-lift occasionally
- Desire to ensure pets in care are safe and healthy
