Job Summary
Retail Operations Lead responsible for merchandising and inventory management, pet care operations, opening/closing the store, and overseeing associates. Leadership to train, onboard, mentor, and coach staff; ensure a safe, organized store environment; manage inventory audits and sales trends; operate POS systems and handle cash; maintain store standards and lead during leader-on-duty shifts; ensure pet care and customer experiences are high quality; execute merchandising strategies and promotions; ensure compliance with Policies and Procedures and Code of Ethics; physical demands include standing, lifting, and potential exposure to pet-related environments.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of retail supervisory experience
- Full-time availability
- Flexibility in schedule to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to react under pressure
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Supervisory responsibility and ability to guide/coach associates
- Physical ability to stand, walk, climb a ladder, and lift up to 50 pounds (occasional more than 100 pounds)
- Experience maintaining an appealing store layout and merchandising standards
- Ability to oversee opening and closing procedures
- Experience with POS systems and cash handling
