Job Summary
Retail Operations Lead at PetSmart is responsible for driving store-level operational excellence, including merchandising, inventory management, pet care operations, and opening/closing procedures. The role leads and develops associates, trains and mentors staff, delegates daily tasks, and ensures a safe, engaging store environment. Key duties include leading merchandising execution, inventory audits and replenishment, operating POS systems, maintaining store standards and policy adherence, assisting with live cycle counts, and ensuring positive experiences for pet parents with in-store and online orders. The position requires 2+ years of retail supervisory experience, availability for full-time shifts (including evenings, weekends, and holidays), proficiency with computer applications, strong communication skills, the ability to stay composed under pressure, and excellent organizational skills to maintain an attractive store layout.
