Job Summary
Retail Operations Lead at PetSmart responsible for merchandising and inventory management, pet care operations, store opening/closing, and supervising associates. Role includes leading tasks, training and coaching staff, ensuring adherence to Policies and Procedures and delivering a safe, engaging store experience. Key duties include overseeing merchandise placement, conducting audits, managing inventory levels, operating POS systems, handling cash, supporting associate development, and maintaining a visually appealing store layout while ensuring pet care standards and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of retail supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment
- Full-time availability
- flexibility in schedule, evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Supervisory responsibility (no direct reports but guidance to other associates)
- Physical demands and environment exposure to living animals and pet-related environment
