Job Summary
Retail Operations Lead at PetSmart overseeing merchandising and inventory management, pet care operations, opening/closing procedures, and supervision of associates to drive store performance and a safe, organized environment. Responsibilities include directing training and development of associates, enforcing store standards and company policies, managing POS transactions, conducting live cycle counts, maintaining accurate inventory, improving product placement and promotional setups, and ensuring a positive experience for pet parents and online order pick-up/ship-from-store. Requires leadership, customer-focused communication, merchandising expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced retail setting.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of retail supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment
- Full-time availability; ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
