Job Summary
PetSmart's Retail Operations Lead drives operational excellence in our stores, overseeing merchandising and inventory management, pet care operations, opening/closing procedures, and the supervision and development of associates. Responsibilities include merchandise strategy execution, inventory reviews and stock replenishment recommendations, POS cash handling, maintaining store standards and code of ethics, assisting with live-cycle inventory counts, and ensuring a positive guest experience for online orders and in-store pickup. The role requires leadership of associates during shifts, handling associate complaints, and maintaining a visually appealing store layout, with a focus on pet care and safety, adherence to policies, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of retail supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment
- Full-time availability required, flexibility in schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
