Job Summary
Retail Operations Lead at PetSmart responsible for merchandising and inventory management, pet care operations, opening/closing procedures, and supervising associates. Leads and coaches staff, trains on product knowledge and presentation standards, and ensures store standards and customer experience. Manages POS transactions, analyzes sales trends, conducts live cycle counts, and maintains a visually appealing store layout. Requires 2+ years of retail supervisory experience, full-time availability (evenings, weekends, holidays), proficiency with computer applications, strong communication, organization, and ability to work under pressure. Physical duties include standing, lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and more than 100 pounds occasionally; exposure to live animals and pet hair; workplace safety and compliance with company policies.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of retail supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment
- Full-time availability required, flexibility in schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Supervisory responsibility: capable of guiding and supporting development of other associates
- This position is paid on an hourly basis; local minimum wage compliance
