Job Summary
Retail Operations Lead at PetSmart leads store-level operations with a focus on merchandising, inventory management, and pet care workflows. Responsibilities include guiding sales associates, training and developing staff, delegating daily tasks, leading as the leader on duty, managing inventory and audits, handling POS cash transactions, ensuring store standards and compliance with Policies and Procedures, assisting with opening/closing, and performing live cycle counts. The role emphasizes driving an engaging associate and customer experience, maintaining a safe, clean environment for pets, and coordinating online order fulfillment (pick-up and ship from store). Required are at least 2+ years of retail supervisory experience, full-time availability (including evenings, weekends, and holidays), proficiency with computer applications, strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to work under pressure. This is a full-time, in-store leadership position with physical demands typical of retail environments.
