Job Summary
Retail Operations Lead responsible for merchandising and inventory management, pet care operations, opening and/or closing the store, overseeing associates, and maintaining a safe and organized environment. Responsibilities include leading and guiding sales associates, training and mentoring, delegating daily tasks, acting as Leader on Duty, handling associate concerns, and recognizing engagement. Store operations encompass executing merchandise strategies, inventory control, audits, and analysis to inform stock replenishment and markdowns; operating POS systems and handling cash; ensuring adherence to policies and code of ethics; participating in opening/closing procedures; performing monthly cycle counts; maintaining healthy pet care standards and ensuring positive customer experiences for online order pickup and ship-from-store. May involve responding to sick/injured pets and coordinating care; ensuring pets are healthy before moving to sales floor; and complying with policies to prepare for new store arrivals. Pay is hourly and varies by location; local minimum wage applies; benefits described in company materials.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of retail supervisory experience
