Job Summary
Retail Operations Lead at PetSmart that drives operational excellence in stores, including merchandising, inventory management, pet care operations, opening/closing duties, and supervising associates. Responsibilities include leading daily tasks, coaching and developing staff, executing merchandise strategies, maintaining inventory accuracy, operating POS systems, ensuring store standards, and delivering a positive in-store experience for pet parents. Requires 2+ years retail supervisory experience, full-time availability (evenings/weekends/holidays), proficiency with computer applications, strong written/verbal communication, calm under pressure, and ability to perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds. Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of retail supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment
- Full-time availability required, flexibility in schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in maintaining a visually appealing store layout
- Supervisory responsibility: No direct reports, but guide and support development of other associates
- Experience as Leader when other Leaders are not in the store (supervising associates, assigning tasks)
- Willingness to stand, walk, climb, and perform physical tasks including lifting up to 50 pounds regularly and more than 100 pounds occasionally
- Ability to work in an environment with pet care responsibilities and associated cleaning, safety, and health considerations
- Commitment to customer and pet-parent experiences, including online order fulfillment and in-store pickups
- Ability to comply with company Policies and Procedures and Code of Ethics
