Job Summary
Retail Operations Lead at PetSmart is responsible for merchandising and inventory management, pet care operations, and store leadership duties including opening/closing, supervising associates, and maintaining a safe, organized environment. The role entails executing merchandising strategies, managing inventory levels and audits, operating POS systems, ensuring compliance with Policies and Procedures and Code of Ethics, and supporting a positive pet-parent and associate experience. Key duties include training and mentoring sales associates, delegating tasks, addressing associate concerns, optimizing displays and promotional setups, handling customer orders (including online orders for pickup or ship from store), and ensuring pet care standards and safety. The position requires 2+ years of retail supervisory experience, full-time availability, proficiency with computer applications, strong communication skills, the ability to work under pressure, and excellent organizational skills. The job is paid on an hourly basis with compensation determined by store location and experience, and local minimum wage applies. Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of retail supervisory experience
- Full-time availability; ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed

- Leadership responsibilities including directing associates and providing feedback
