Job Summary
Retail Operations Lead at PetSmart oversees merchandising and inventory management, pet care operations, and store execution including opening/closing, supervising associates, and maintaining a safe, organized environment. Responsibilities include leading and developing sales associates, training and coaching, delegating daily tasks, guiding associates as leader on duty, addressing grievances, executing merchandise strategies, conducting inventory audits and stock replenishment decisions, operating POS and handling cash, ensuring store standards and compliance with Policies and Procedures and Code of Ethics, overseeing live cycle counts, managing pet care and handling online orders/pickups, ensuring pets in care are healthy, and coordinating with store leadership to deliver a positive customer and pet-parent experience. Qualifications include 2+ years of retail supervisory experience, full-time availability with flexible scheduling including evenings/weekends/holidays, proficiency with computer applications, strong communication, organizational skills, and the ability to manage high-pressure situations and maintain a visually appealing store layout. The role requires physical capability to stand, move, lift up to 50 pounds regularly and up to 100+ pounds team lift occasionally, and work in a dynamic environment with pet care responsibilities. Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of retail supervisory experience in a customer-focused environment
- Full-time availability required, flexibility in schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Proficiency in computer applications

- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, particularly in maintaining a visually appealing store layout
