Job Summary
Lead sales, staff, and operational functions across three retail locations: Base Lodge Traders, Snow Ghost Outfitters, and Summit House Gifts. Manage staffing schedules, handle cash and POS operations, and maintain inventory controls while ensuring guest service standards and resolving difficult interactions. Coach staff through on-boarding, training, and disciplinary actions; complete employee evaluations and seasonal budgets. Collaborate with the Merchandising Manager and Director on buying decisions and trend analysis to meet budgeted sales goals. Work 40 hours weekly, rotating holidays, nights, and weekends in a moderate physical environment.
Required Qualifications
- High school graduate or GED equivalent
- 3+ years of Retail Supervisor experience
- Sales and merchandising experience
- Must be a self-starter
- Must be able to work independently with little supervision
- Must possess strong organizational skills
- Must be able to prioritize tasks
- Must have a high level of attention to detail
- Must possess the ability to function effectively during times of high stress and high business demands
- Must be able to deal courteously and effectively with both guests and team members
- Subject to WSI's Alcohol and Controlled Substance Abuse Policy
- Must be able to handle objects up to 10 pounds frequently
- Must be able to handle objects up to 30 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to be on one's feet for extended time periods up to 6-8 hours
- Must be available for working holidays, nights, and weekends
Desired Qualifications
- College education
- Ski industry experience
- Strong computer skills
- Experience with Microsoft applications
