Job Summary
Execute effective mortgage marketing and development plans to meet or exceed agreed-upon production goals while maintaining thorough knowledge of Truist's Mortgage Strategies, Policies, and Procedures. Provide clients with sound mortgage advice based on their needs and product benefits, consistently executing the referral process to introduce clients to other bank solutions. Adhere fully to all Truist policies, State, and Federal regulations regarding internal and external rules. Assist Mortgage Loan Fulfillment with client, attorney, or appraiser document follow-up as determined through quality control or post-closing review. This role requires 1+ year of banking/lending experience, SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act compliance within 30 days, and is paid solely on commissions with a possible salary draw. The position involves sitting, standing, and walking frequently, with up to 75% travel.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ year(s) experience in banking and/or lending environment with basic knowledge of residential property types
- Good organizational, written and verbal communication skills
- Possesses solid interpersonal and negotiation skills
- Demonstrated proficiency in relevant computer applications
- Must be SAFE Mortgage Licensing Act compliant within 30 days of employment in this role including new or transfer of registration, and applicable NMLS acceptable background check

- Must be able to access and interpret client information received from the computer
- Must be able to hear and speak with individuals in person and on the phone
- Able to work standard office equipment, including PC keyboard and mouse, copy/fax machines, and printers
- Able to work all hours scheduled, including overtime as directed by manager/supervisor and required by business need
- Travel Up to 75%
Desired Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Accounting, or related studies or equivalent financial sales experience
- Two or more years of experience in residential mortgage lending with solid knowledge of the local market and regulations
- Previous sales awards and leadership positions
