Job Summary
The Retail Merchandise Processor will sort, process, price, and prepare donated merchandise for display in a Goodwill retail store, roll and stock items on the sales floor, and accurately record donations while maintaining a clean, safe work environment. The role involves assisting with boutique/Ecommerce categorization, staying aware of brand labels and current styles, providing friendly customer service to donors and customers, and following safety policies and store procedures. The position supports opening/closing operations and requires a flexible schedule, including weekends and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Six months of previous work experience or equivalent educational or vocational experience preferred
- Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
- Must be able to follow directions and communicate effectively in English
- Ability to problem solve
- Ability to provide exceptional customer service to donors and customers
- Physical ability to lift and carry up to 35 pounds
- Ability to walk, stoop, stand, bend, kneel and climb for extended periods (up to 7 hours per 8-hour shift)
- Ability to work in a non-climate-controlled environment
- Ability to perform duties in a fast-paced retail setting
- Ability to sort and process merchandise for sales floor and ecommerce/boutique categories
- Maintain safety and security practices and participate in store trainings
