Retail Manager - Softlines

Retail Manager leads one or more Sales Departments at Bass Pro Shops, supervising staff from recruitment through training and development, ensuring world-class customer service and a positive, team-oriented environment. Responsibilities include maintaining planograms, inventory control, pricing, executing sales plans, opening/closing the store, obtaining Manager on Duty duties, interviewing and selecting staff, coaching and evaluating performance, and promoting programs such as CLUB Membership and in-store pickup. Must analyze customer needs, make product recommendations, and communicate effectively with managers, associates, customers, and corporate staff while leveraging POS and inventory systems to meet financial plans. Strong interpersonal skills, leadership, and ability to conduct meetings and presentations are required, along with the ability to interpret reports and weigh discounts, commissions, and percentages.
