Job Summary
Retail Manager oversees one or more Sales Departments at Bass Pro Shops in Lehi, UT, including merchandise presentation, inventory control, pricing, sales enhancements, staff selection and development, and customer service activities. Responsible for meeting financial plans, executing sales plans, opening/closing the store, maintaining planograms, staffing with service-oriented associates, interviewing and training, coaching, and evaluating performance to promote a positive, team-oriented environment. Drives legendary customer service by identifying needs and recommending products, promoting programs (CLUB Membership, VOC, In-Store Pick-up), and ensuring a high-quality shopping experience. Requires 3-5 years of retail management experience and proficiency with POS and inventory management systems; strong interpersonal and presentation skills; ability to analyze data, generate reports, and manage schedules and staff.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3-5 years in Retail Management
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, commissions, and percentages
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
- Ability to read and analyze reports
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Experience with staff hiring, training, and performance evaluations
- Ability to develop and manage weekly schedules
- Proficiency with PC-based word processing, spreadsheets, and inventory management systems
