Job Summary
Loss Prevention Lead at DICK’S Sporting Goods responsible for mitigating losses by deterring external theft, executing operational LP programs, engaging with customers to deter theft, and maintaining safety/compliance. Responsibilities include monitoring customer/teammate traffic for theft indicators, creating incident reports in LPMS, coordinating with authorities as needed, conducting MES sweeps and safety standards, training teammates, supporting Shrink Coach initiatives, and promoting a safe, inclusive store environment. Requires ability to walk the sales floor and back-of-house areas, de-escalation of confrontations, and adherence to safety and policy standards. Required Qualifications
- 1-3 years of prior Loss Prevention (LP) or educational experience preferred
- experience in retail loss prevention or security roles preferred
- ability to walk sales floor, stockrooms, and office areas
- ability to deescalate incidents and handle conflicts
- conducts MES sweeps and safety checks
- follows company policies and procedures related to safety and loss prevention
- ability to produce detailed incident reports (LPMS)
- works with local authorities as needed
- participates in training and shrink program activities
- maintains confidentiality of company information
- background check required for employment
