Job Summary
Assist customers with frame and lens selection, interpret prescriptions to assist customers in selecting optical products and services. Utilize the SERVE sales process to identify customer needs and establish lens recommendations; communicate with the Lab and Optometrist to ensure prescription accuracy. Provide accurate product and insurance information, maintain dispensing area, ensure HIPAA/privacy compliance, and participate in training and ongoing education. Maintain cleanliness and social distancing practices and adhere to company policies and procedures. Maintain required state licensure and stay compliant with license requirements; contribute to customer pricing accuracy and assist apprentices as needed. This role requires on-site work in Watertown, NY.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- Must have and maintain applicable state licensure for ophthalmic dispensing
- Knowledge and demonstrated abilities in explaining optical products, services, the analysis and interpretation of optical prescriptions, fitting and dispensing.
