Job Summary
Open and close the store, manage daily bank deposits, and balance cash register receipts. Supervise staff and temporary employees, conducting oral and written performance communications and assisting with new hire orientations. Monitor merchandise receiving, pricing, and selling; stock and maintain the store interior and exterior. Ensure ACE customer service standards for donors and customers, process transactions, and initiate personnel and payroll records. Maintain clean and safe environments, observe safety procedures, and report suspicious activity to Loss Prevention. Keep attendance records, forward absence requests, and ensure compliance with company policies. Work flexible schedules including holidays, nights, and weekends, frequently exceeding 40 hours, while lifting up to 50 pounds and driving within Arkansas.
Required Qualifications
- Equivalent to four years high school or GED, with particular emphasis during high school in office skills, shop skills, or others, plus 12 to 18 months related experience and/or training, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Valid Driver's License and clear MVR
- Must have a valid driver's license and be insurable by the company's insurance carrier
- Must be able to read, write and communicate clearly in English
- Must be able to lift and carry objects weighing up to 35 pounds frequently and up to 50 pounds occasionally
- Must be able to stand and walk for a prolonged period and to frequently bend, stretch and stoop
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, on short notice, including holidays, nights and weekends and frequently in excess of 40 hours a week
- Must observe and enforce safety policies in all phases of the operation
- Must be able to interact cordially and productively with a variety of people
- Must be able to take initiative and make decisions with little supervision
Desired Qualifications
- Good driving record with no previous suspensions in last 5 years
- Some computer knowledge a plus
- Must have knowledge of fashionable women's, children's and men's clothing as well as furniture and household items
