Job Summary
Fulfillment and Receiving Colleague at Macy's (Square One) responsible for receiving and organizing merchandise, picking, packing, processing trailers, retrieving orders for back-of-house storage, and delivering curbside to customers. Supports BOPS readiness, maintains inventory accuracy, and ensures smooth stockroom and sales floor operations. Interacts with customers to resolve issues and deliver a positive shopping experience. Expected to work in a full-time capacity (30+ hours/week) with weekend shifts; emphasizes teamwork, goal achievement, and hospitality. Key activities include stockroom organization, merchandise tagging/restocking, floor recovery, and assisting with curbside pickups. Physical tasks include lifting up to 50 lbs and standing for extended periods. Strong communication, collaboration, and dedication to exceptional customer service are essential.
Required Qualifications
- Flexible availability including days, evenings, weekends and holidays
- Read and understand employment policies and safety rules in English
- Understand and communicate effectively with customers, co-workers, and supervisors
- Be comfortable communicating and collaborating with customers and colleagues
- Meet daily sales goal challenges
- Resourceful and eager to start a new venture; adapt to changing priorities; work independently and in a team
- Essential physical requirements: talking, lifting at least 50 lbs, standing for at least two consecutive hours, reaching with arms and hands, climbing ladders, color/depth perception
- Proficient with computers and handheld equipment; cash register usage
- Ability to process register transactions
- Customer service orientation and ability to deliver hospitality
