Job Summary
Retail Freight Team Leader for Ollie’s new store in Mattoon, IL. Oversees the receiving area operations, ensures efficient freight flow to the sales floor, maintains back stock, and manages disposition of damaged goods to minimize profit loss. Directs the work of Associates handling freight flow, verifies incoming merchandise, sets up merchandise displays, and processes outbound transfers; serves as Manager on Duty and handles additional store responsibilities as assigned. Requires ability to plan, unload, check in shipments, merchandise direct vendor shipments, and maintain a safe, orderly dock environment; strong leadership, merchandising, and customer-service skills are essential. Qualifications include a high school diploma or equivalent, at least 6 months of retail experience, schedule flexibility, organizational and delegation skills, and customer-facing abilities; physical requirements include lifting up to 50 pounds and pushing/pulling up to 35 pounds.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 6 months experience with a mid- to large-size retailer
- Schedule flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and delegate tasks while working within strict timeframes and deadlines
- Must have a positive attitude and the ability to interact well with customers and associates
