Job Summary
Plan, unload, check in, and support the merchandising of distribution shipments. Receive, verify, and merchandise all direct vendor shipments while managing effective freight flow in the receiving area. Maintain back stock, manage damaged goods disposition, and prepare outbound transfers. Direct other Associates assisting with freight processes and act as Manager on Duty for store opening and closing. Ensure all operations adhere to established processing and visual merchandising standards.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of 6 months experience with a mid- to large-size retailer
- Schedule flexibility to work early mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays on a regular basis
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and delegate tasks while working within strict timeframes and deadlines
- Positive attitude and the ability to interact well with customers and associates
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
- Ability to push and pull up to 35 pounds
- Ability to stand for extended periods and work in a constant state of alertness and safe manner
