Job Summary
Ring in sales, assist customers with product knowledge, and maintain visual presentation of merchandise. Routinely clean, disinfect, and polish fixtures, displays, and shelving while performing inventory counts, audits, and restocking apparel and novelties. Carry out other store administrative tasks as directed by management. This role supports the premier baseball tournament destination at The Ripken Experience in Aberdeen, Maryland, requiring flexibility for day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma, currently attending a local high school, or GED
- Ability to work during the day or evening as determined by supervisor
- Ability to work flexible schedule based on the needs of the business including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays based on the business's needs
- Ability to handle multiple tasks at one time
- Good verbal and written communication skills
- Strong leadership and customer service abilities
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong work ethic
- Positive team attitude
- Must be able to move quickly to assist customers
- Reach for high placed boxes and items, handle or feel objects or controls, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, and climb stairs
- Routinely lift or move up to 50 pounds at least 20% of the time
- Stand for long periods of time
- Routinely exposed to extreme hot/cold weather conditions, dust and particles, and loud noises
Desired Qualifications
- 1 – 3 years retail work experience
- Experience resolving customer concerns professionally and efficiently
- Experience engaging with diverse customers and creating a positive shopping experience
