Job Summary

Retail Donor Specialist - Materials Handler Team Lead oversees donor intake and backroom operations, coaching Donor Specialists/Material Handlers, overseeing donation flow, and ensuring safety and efficiency. Responsibilities include leading daily donation activity, supervising front-end and back-end tasks, coordinating movement of donations, ensuring proper handling and inventory control, addressing donor service issues in real time, training and developing staff, communicating workflow needs to leadership, and maintaining a clean, organized, safe donation area. Must guide and support team members, model mission-aligned behavior, and ensure adherence to safety and organizational guidelines while maintaining productive operations and achieving production goals.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate’s degree in business, Logistics, Supply Chain, Management, Retail Operations, or related field preferred
  • 1-2 years experience in production, warehouse, retail, or logistics environments required
  • Ability to stand, walk, and move throughout the store during shifts
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends and holidays
  • Ability to learn and follow established processes
  • Ability to train, coach, and develop team members
  • Strong communication skills
  • Experience with Windows-based computer applications
  • Knowledge of safety practices and CPSC guidelines
