Retail Donor Specialist - Materials Handler Associate

Job Summary
Greet donors promptly, offer accurate receipts, and assist with unloading to ensure a positive donation experience. Receive, handle, and move donated merchandise through backroom operations, including loading and unloading trailers and operating equipment like forklifts and pallet jacks. Maintain efficient material flow, organize staging areas, and perform routine housekeeping to support store replenishment and production. Follow all safety guidelines and operational standards in a fast-paced, high-volume environment while balancing donor service with backroom responsibilities. Maintain a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Required Qualifications
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and move donated goods as required
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to follow established operational standards, workflows, and safety procedures consistently
- Ability to work safely and accurately in a fast-paced, high-volume environment
- Must be able to lift 50 lbs
- Must be available for weekend shifts
- Must be available for evening shifts
- Must be available for holiday shifts
Desired Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in retail, donation intake, production, warehouse, or customer-facing roles
- Experience in fast-paced, high-volume, quota/production or warehouse environments
- Experience supporting donors/customers in a community-facing role
- Experience performing donation processing, material handling, or backroom operations
- Prior nonprofit or mission-based retail experience
- Bilingual language skills
- English major
