Job Summary
Retail District Manager responsible for planning and leading the activities of all stores within the assigned area, including full profit and loss responsibility, to accomplish divisional and regional goals. Lead store teams with a culture aligned to Dollar General’s mission and values; drive area sales growth; ensure superior inventory presentation and management; recruit, develop and educate employees; manage scheduling and asset protection; identify opportunities for store growth and real estate site selection; provide clear communication of priorities to store teams; travel weekly in a company-provided vehicle and maintain a valid driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Four+ years retail management experience with progressively more responsibility, managing multi-unit operations in retail, grocery or convenience store operations with full P&L responsibility
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Big-box retail management and/or equivalent education and experience combination will be considered
- Note: travel requirement: weekly travel in a company-provided vehicle; current driver's license and acceptable driving history required
