Job Summary
Lead and oversee multiple Dollar General stores within the assigned area (Clarksville & surrounding area) with full P&L responsibility. Drive area sales growth through effective inventory management, merchandising, and execution of company objectives. Build and manage store teams, recruit and develop employees, ensure fair HR practices, and maintain loss prevention and expense controls. Plan and execute staffing and scheduling, communicate divisional priorities to store teams, and identify opportunities for store growth, including site considerations and real estate input. Travel weekly in a company-provided vehicle; requires a valid driver’s license. Requires demonstrated leadership in retail management across multi-unit operations, with emphasis on customer service, budgeting, and collaboration with the field team to achieve targets.
Required Qualifications
- Four+ years retail management experience with progressively more responsibility, managing multi-unit operations in retail, grocery or convenience store operations with full P&L responsibility
- Bachelor's degree preferred
- Big-box retail management and/or equivalent education and experience will be considered
- Demonstrated leadership and ability to achieve performance goals and objectives
- Financial analysis skills to interpret operating statements, manage budgets, and control inventory
- Strong interpersonal and leadership skills; customer service oriented; ability to work collaboratively in a team
