Job Summary
Lead the activities of all stores within the assigned area of operation with full profit and loss responsibility, driving annual area sales growth and ensuring optimal inventory presentation and customer service across Dollar General stores, distribution centers, and related operations. Responsibilities include developing and executing strategies to improve performance, recruiting and developing store teams, enforcing HR policies, optimizing scheduling and operations, ensuring loss prevention and expense control, identifying new business opportunities (merchandising, distribution flow, site selection), and effectively communicating divisional and regional priorities to store teams. requires strong leadership, financial analysis, budgeting, and collaboration with teams to achieve objectives, with note of weekly travel in a company-provided vehicle and a current driver’s license.
Required Qualifications
- Four+ years retail management experience with progressively more responsibility, managing multi-unit operations in retail, grocery or convenience store operations with full P&L responsibility.
- Bachelor's degree preferred.
- Big-box retail management and/or equivalent education and experience combination will be considered.
