Job Summary
Retail Department Supervisor at Marshalls/TJX in Brooklyn, NY. Oversees a team of associates on the store front, ensures prompt and courteous customer service, promotes loyalty programs, trains and coaches staff on front-end principles, assigns registers and manages POS coverage and breaks, resolves customer concerns, aligns tasks with store plans, and supports store-wide safety and compliance initiatives. Must demonstrate strong merchandising knowledge, effective communication, ability to multi-task, and lead by example to deliver an excellent customer experience while promoting program participation and company integrity. Includes responsibilities for training, supervision, and collaboration with management on staffing, goals, and performance feedback. Starting pay is $18.00–$18.50 per hour with a part-time schedule including nights and weekends.
Required Qualifications
- 1 year of leadership experience in retail or equivalent
- Strong understanding of merchandising techniques
- Ability to multi-task and adapt to changes
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Team player with the ability to train others
- Availability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends
