Job Summary
Retail Customer Service Supervisor at PetSmart leads the associate experience, coaches and mentors team members, and ensures a high-quality pet parent experience through loyalty initiatives, promotions, and in-store interactions. Responsibilities include training and onboarding, performance feedback and disciplinary actions, supervising Leaders on Duty, managing customer service across in-store, phone, and online interactions, promoting events (adoptions, vet partnerships, shot clinics), handling live pet sales and adoptions, supporting merchandising and store cleanliness, operating POS systems, processing online orders and ensuring a smooth pickup experience, maintaining store standards and safety for associates and pets, and supporting other departments as needed. Requires 2+ years retail experience, leadership aptitude, strong communication, and the ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays. The role is full-time and based in Raleigh, NC.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of retail experience in a customer-focused environment
- Leadership experience preferred
- Full-time availability required, flexibility in schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Supervisory responsibility
