Job Summary
Retail Customer Service Lead at PetSmart focuses on delivering exceptional pet-parent experiences by leading store-level customer service, overseeing associates, and driving loyalty and promotional initiatives. Responsibilities include training and mentoring staff, managing daily tasks and supervision as Leader on Duty, handling POS and cash transactions, ensuring store cleanliness and safety, coordinating live pet sales and adoptions, and supporting merchandising, promotions, and partner programs (vet clinics, adoption events). The role requires strong communication, organizational skills, the ability to coach and develop others, and flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays in a full-time capacity. Supervisory responsibilities and experience in a retail environment are preferred.
