Job Summary
Retail Customer Service Lead at PetSmart focuses on delivering exceptional pet parent experiences by leading store associates, driving loyalty and promotions, and overseeing daily store operations. The role includes leading as Leader on Duty, supporting adoptions and partnerships (vet clinics), coordinating events, handling live sales and POS transactions, ensuring store safety, cleanliness, and merchandising, and developing associates through training and coaching. Strong emphasis on customer service, team leadership, communication, and the ability to manage schedules and delegate tasks. This role requires full-time availability, flexibility for evenings, weekends, and holidays, and proficiency with computer applications.
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of retail experience in a customer-focused environment
- Leadership experience preferred
- Full-time availability required, flexibility in schedule, able to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
- Proficiency in computer applications
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to react under pressure and maintain composure
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Supervisory responsibility (leadership role)
