Job Summary
Deliver outstanding customer service in Ladbrokes & Coral betting shops, handling cash transactions and taking bets on a wide range of sports and events. Build rapport with customers to encourage repeat visits, demonstrate products and betting terminals, and resolve customer concerns with empathy and problem-solving skills. Maintain high shop standards, contribute to achieving targets, and support opening/closing duties as a key holder. Emphasize safer gambling, work a varied rota (including weekends), and thrive in a team-driven, inclusive environment.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or over to work in betting shops
- Ability to communicate effectively and work independently or as part of a team
- Self-motivated and proactive
- Strong customer service orientation
- Cash handling and basic math abilities
- Ability to handle challenging situations calmly and professionally
- Experience with upselling or demonstrating products/betting terminals (preferred)
- Willingness to work a rotating schedule including weekends and bank holidays
- Open or close the shop as needed
- Ability to meet defined targets and maintain shop standards
- Safer gambling mindset and commitment to responsible betting
