Job Summary
Retail Cashier Associate at Big 5 Sporting Goods with a part-time schedule. Responsibilities include operating the front counter POS system, delivering excellent customer service, welcoming and assisting customers, directing sales associates via PA system, answering inquiries, recommending products and add-on sales, cash-handling and bagging merchandise, maintaining a clean and stocked sales floor, receiving shipments, and performing additional duties as assigned. Requires strong communication, basic math skills, reliability, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment; basic knowledge of sporting goods is a plus. Eligible candidates will be 18+ and will be subject to E-Verify. Pay range from $12.80 to $13.80 per hour.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must possess basic organizational and/or applicable math skills
- Detail-oriented and reliable
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of sporting goods is a plus
