Job Summary
Cashiers are responsible for overseeing the front counter POS terminal, engaging in cash-handling, bagging purchased merchandise, and providing excellent customer service. Key responsibilities include greeting customers, answering telephones, directing sales associates using the PA system, stocking shelves, and maintaining merchandise on the sales floor. The position requires good organizational skills, basic math skills, and effective communication abilities. Candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess a High School diploma or equivalent. Light to moderate lifting may be required.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Must possess High School diploma, GED, High School Equivalency, certificated equivalent and/or relevant experience
- Must possess basic organizational and/or applicable math skills
- Must possess effective and demonstrable interactive and communicative skills
- Light to moderate lifting may be required, with or without reasonable accommodation
