Job Summary
Retail Cashier Associate at Big 5 Sporting Goods (Part-time) handling front-counter POS operations and providing an outstanding customer experience. Responsibilities include welcoming and assisting customers, directing sales associates via PA system, answering inquiries, recommending products and add-on sales, cash-handling and bagging purchased merchandise, maintaining a clean and stocked sales floor, receiving shipments, and performing additional duties as assigned. Requires strong communication, reliability, basic math, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment; prior knowledge of sporting goods is a plus. Eligible for benefits with required hours; E-Verify is applied upon offer.
Required Qualifications
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must possess basic organizational and/or applicable math skills
- Detail-oriented and reliable
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Basic knowledge of sporting goods is a plus
